Unknown gunmen yesterday abducted Florentina, the mother of Senator Emmanuel Paulker, in Bayelsa State.
The 90-year-old woman was abducted on yesterday morning at her residence in Opolo-Epie, Yenagoa and this is the second time she'll be kidnapped in four years.
The abductors, (Five in number) armed with AK-47 and other assorted rifles stormed her residence about 3am and started shooting sporadically into the air. They seized the old woman and whisked her away to an unknown place.
A 39-year old motorcycle parts dealer, Ogbodo Chibuzor David has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for trying to smuggle 11.06kg of dried Indian-hemp that tested positive to cannabis to China.
The suspect, David who hid the drugs in various food items was arrested after cannabis was discovered inside his bags at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos when he was about to board a Qatar Airline flight.
A tenant in Lagos, Yinka Offehin, 35, is presently admitted at a private hospital in Lagos State battling to stay alive after his landlady's children cut off his scrotum.
Offehin is an Edo State indigene who resides on Popoola Street, off Abaranje Road in the Ikotun area of Lagos, was reportedly attacked by his so-called landlady's children while sleeping in his room with his family members.
His wife, Bisi, who witnessed the incident identified the assailants as Solomon and Damilola, the children of the landlady.
Guests can be seen pooing by passersby along the street after architect messed up with the window design at newly opened posh hotel in Berlin.
Several passers-by on the street below the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin have been snapping hotel guests as they use the toilets in their room, prompting the hotel to put up notices which read: ‘Please be careful, not only the monkeys are watching", pending when they fix the blunder.

The fight against Ebola virus has just received a major blow after Sierra Leone's top doctor who had created a great impact in fighting the outbreak died from the virus.
Dr. Sheik Umar Khan, 39 was confirmed dead by the country's chief medical officer, Brima Kargbo.
Sheik who was credited with treating more than 100 patients, was infected with Ebola this month and had been moved to a treatment ward run by medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres in the far north of the country. Before his diagnosis, he told reporters:

Several residents of the house had fetched water from the well this morning without noticing before someone discovered there was a dead man inside it. Residents pulled the corpse from the well and discovered that it was a carpenter living around that was suffering from heartbreak after his wife left him recently.

Security operatives in Cameroon have rescued wife of Vice Prime Minister Amadou Ali that was kidnapped by the Boko Haram terrorists on Sunday along with a traditional ruler of Kolofata town, reports BBC Hausa Service.
16 people reportedly died in the rescue operations, although Cameroon information minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary said investigations are still going on to ascertain the actual number of people killed.
The Boko Haram members carry out attacks in northern part of Cameroon from Nigeria where they established their base in the Sambisa Forest.

Information reached JointArena.Com from Abuja, that the son of the former Minister of FCT, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has died in a car accident.
The deceased son, Hamza El-Rufai believed to be in his early twenties, died on Tuesday morning following the fatal crash. El-Rufai broke the sad news on his faceboook page at about 8:00 am Tuesday morning.
Source revealed that the high-tension cable suddenly snapped and fell on the victims killing people on the spot, while several others sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
