The Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige, has asked the Southeast to stop complaining of marginalisation by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
He lamented that all his efforts to persuade the Igbo to wisely invest in Buhari’s presidential bid in 2015 failed because of lack of cooperation by many South-east leaders, who threw their weight behind former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The Federal and Lagos State Governments are seeking sanction for Kenya Airways for conveying a dead body from Ebola infested Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC, without approval from the necessary bodies.
This is coming as the corpse flown in from DRC has tested negative to the deadly Ebola virus.

Sad photos of a crying 17-month-old boy who was found drinking milk from his mother's dead body in India
Police in Damoh district, Madhya Pradesh, India, were called to reports of a dead body near train tracks. According to a witness present there, a woman was seen lying on the ground near the railway track and a child next to her was crying and drinking milk from her breast. The 7-month old was unaware that his mother was dead.

According to Punch, Residents of Obadeyi Ajala woke up on Wednesday to find the deceased dangling from a rope in an uncompleted shop at Ajala bus stop, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

Nigeria's Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) of the Body of Benchers which punishes misconduct among lawyers, has barred Emeka Ephraim Ugwuonye, a former US-based Nigerian lawyer from practicing in Nigeria.
The controversial lawyer who was disbarred in New York and Maryland for professional misconduct in 2013 relocated to Nigeria to continue his practice. He was part of the legal team who facilitated the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB from Kuje prison.

A brazen couple have been pictured 'having sex' outside a busy block of flats in broad daylight.
Neighbours looked on in shock as the lovers seemingly had intercourse in full view of anyone who cared to watch.
A young man and woman, described as being around 20 by a witness, were seen engaged in a 15-minute romp by a set of stairs at 8pm on Saturday.
An openly lesbian woman from Soweto was brutalised and murdered in a suspected hate crime, the day before starting her promising new job. On Sunday, May 14, the half naked body of 27-year-old Lerato Tambai Moloi, described by activists as a “butch” lesbian, was found in Naledi Ext.
She was discovered by community members who were cutting down tall grass in a field near a railway line. Her trousers and underwear had been pulled down. Large rocks had been thrown onto her head.

Tragedy struck in the Ajuwon area of Lagos State on Wednesday May 17, at Bada Hospital at Bale road, when a young lady said to be in her late 20's committed suicide by drinking sniper insecticide, LIB reports.
The lady, identified as Patience Akpan, was said to have left her father's place that Wednesday afternoon before she was seen in another street within the area wringing in pains, with the sniper bottle still in her hands.
It seems the release of the Chibok girls, didn't come with just swapping Boko Haram prisoners, as BBC claims that the Nigerian Government paid the terrorists, 2 million euros and also released 5 senior Boko Haram militants.

13 year old student left with horrific burns after following wrong medication by school nurse [PHOTOS]
A 13-year-old student of the Command Secondary School in Suleja is left with horiffic burns after he was administered wrong medication by a nurse at the school clinic.
According to SaharaReporters, the incident occurred on April 30 when the student sought medical treatment for having high body temperature. After the drugs were administered to the student, he began to develop rashes all over his body.
According to a viral report on social media and tributes written by her friends, it has been gathered that a Business Administration student of Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), Damilola Adegoke reportedly committed suicide by drinking "sniper". Though why she committed the said act on Tuesday is still unknown, it is alleged that Damilola's mum came back home, to find her daughter lying on the floor with an insecticide.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 arraigned the duo of Buhari. Fannami and Ba-Kura Abdullahi on two separate one count charge before Justice M. T Salihu of the Federal High Court Maiduguri, for allegedly giving false information to the agency under the whistle blowing policy.
Fannamit had misled the EFCC with the information about illegally acquired monies purportedly buried at the residence of one Ba’a Lawan but the information turned out to be false after the execution of a search warrant.
Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 39-year-old man, Victor Akagha, a native of Owerri in Imo state, for sleeping with 4 secondary school boys he lured into gay relationship.
According to a statement released by RRS, Victor who lives in Lagos, was ambushed at the victim’s school, where he came to pick him with his car.
A former Acting State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bayelsa State, Mr. Christopher Hobobo, has been assassinated.
He was reportedly assassinated in his residence on the PDP Road, Yenagoa, the state capital.
Hobobo, who hailed from Agbere town in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state, was allegedly stabbed to death by unknown assassins in the early hours of Wednesday.

A 29-year-old man, Rex Kpanor, a cleaner at the Cardio Thoracic Centre, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend at Labadi, a suburb of Accra, Ghana.
The victim, Christiana Ohenewaa Anim, a mother of three was purportedly killed following a misunderstanding between her and the suspect.
“I am satisfied that she is dead and I don't regret killing her. Now the police can do whatever they want to do with me….” . These were the purported words of Rex.

A baby who was abandoned in a gutter in Gyado Junction-Yandev expressway in Gboko area of Benue State, was found dead after the rain. It was gathered that the healthy baby was killed, as a result of the heavy rain that fell last night in the area.

A 48-year-old leader of one of the popular Pentecostal churches in Umuahia, Behold He Commeth Pentecostal Church, Umudike branch, in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, Pastor Nnaemeka Ukenye, has been shot dead.
He was shot dead by six-man gang, who butchered his body, near his poultry and piggery farm/office, in Umuobia Housing Estate, Umuahia, Abia State capital.

The Federal Government of Nigeria today, granted citizenship to a total of 335 foreign nationals in Abuja. They were granted citizenship by the Federal Government after statutory clearance and due diligence by the relevant security agencies.
The Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, who presented the certificates of citizenship to the foreigners, charged them to be good ambassadors of Nigeria.

Following the recent re-discovery of Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC, the Federal government has begun the screening of all inbound passengers into Nigeria at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport Lagos and other International Airports in Nigeria.
This is in a bid to avoid the importation of the deadly virus into the country.
A man identified as Kelly, and his partner were allegedly caught red handed trying to rob a boutique in Okpe road, Delta state by 10:00 p.m on Sunday, 14th May, 2017. According to the report by Facebook page, Sapele Oghenek, the robbers used hammer and chisel to burst a big hole into the boutique in order to gain entrance.
In the process, someone caught them and raised an alarm. His partner managed to escape but Kelly was caught and beaten to a pulp by area boys before he was rescued and taken to the police station.
Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi ll has said that Nigeria will remain one and indivisible country.
He appealed to those agitating for the country’s split to have a rethink.
Sanusi said this on Monday when he received the newly installed Garkuwan Hausawa in Ogun, Otunba Rotimi Paseda, in his palace.

65-year-old Daniel Galloway, has bagged a 12 months jail sentence after he reportedly admitted, aiding and abetting Carol Bowditch, 64, to have sex with three different breeds.
According to Daily Mirror, Bowditch was given a community sentence last month after a judge heard she had sex with a St Bernard called Oscar, a black Labrador named Badger and an Alsatian called Rocky.
