13-year-old boy discovers a massive bomb placed near mosque in Kano [PICTURED]

A thirteen year old boy discovered a large bomb capable of wrecking great havoc that was placed close to a Jumuat Mosque in Kano and immediately alerted the police.

The police spokesman in Kano Magaji Majiya disclosed that the young boy became suspicious after spotting an abandoned car carrying heavy loads.

Mr. Majiya said:

“The bomb targeting worshippers was placed inside a Toyota Tercel car near a Mosque
in Sauna Pfanuga area of Nasarawa Local Government, Kano metropolis,”He also said after the boy discovered the bomb he alerted the police nearby and the anti-bomb squad were invited.

They successfully defused the bomb and site and the car had been taken to Police Headquarters for further investigations and analysis.”The police spokesperson said no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A bomb explosion, which claimed eight lives, took place on Monday at the School of Hygiene in Kano. The Police said they have arrested a suspect in connection with the school bombing. No group has claimed responsibility for any of the incidents although the insurgent Boko Haram is considered the major suspect.
